The Group has made major investments in the United States of America especially in New York. The need to be in touch at a local level for a better selection and upgrading of investments has led the company to create a local division with specific professional roles.
Veronica Mainetti, Head of US activities
The management of Sorgente Group's activities in the USA has been entrusted to Veronica Mainetti who sits on the Board of Directors of Sorgente Group S.p.A. with delegated powers to manage its activities in the USA. She is also a director of Michelangelo Real Estate Corporation Inc., Chrysler Building Investments LLC, Star Source Financial Services Inc, Soho Greene Street LLC and Sherry Park LLC.
Veronica Mainetti also manages the network of consultants and collaborators busy carrying out the expansion program in the United States, especially New York. She is madly in love with the Big Apple where she has been living for some years now and that she considers the epicenter of modern and contemporary art; a city representing progress and change, technology and pure creativity,a unique city which manages to combine the different art forms and ethnicities. You have to live here, she remarks, to pick up the magic of this metropolis, in some ways it's the Rome that once was. Veronica is currently also busy with the project of renovating and upgrading the building in Soho Greene Street where highly prestigious Italian style lofts are being created.
Luciano Magri, Proxy for Park Avenue Realty Consultants LLC
He studied Law at Bologna University and practiced in the family law firm. In 1970 he moved to London and practiced with a local law firm, gaining a diploma from Norwich University. In collaboration with leading banks in London and New York, between 1975 and 1980, he set up and arranged loans in local currency for 22 Italian companies, thus acquiring significant experience in the financial sector. Between 1982 and 1985 he was European Market Manager for Fox& Co., one of the top firms of chartered accountants and auditors in the USA. From 1985 to 1988 he collaborated with the London based Tiller Group and began introducing European investors to the New York market. Immediately after this he started his relationship with Park Avenue Realty Consultants LLC (Antmin, Douglas, O'Moore) for whom he is currently proxy, and has overseen a number of dealings, the most important of which include the collaboration with Fondo della Caisse Des Depots in Paris with over 150 million Euro of disposable funds to invest in logistics in Italy; collaboration with TMW Immobilien - Munich and P.F.I. for the investment of 140 million Euro in Italy; collaboration with Hines (U.S.A.) for the opening of their Italian branch and the identification of a local partner; collaboration with Milano Centrale (Pirelli) for the sale of their U.S. property (Texas) and collaboration with the Salazar del Rio Group for the sale of their hotel shareholdings in Spain.
